      In upcoming 3 years every household in Bihar will be introduced with prepaid electricity system.

      This  will enable pay bill and get electricity system.

      After this, installation of meters will not be required.

       ANCIENT –

        Out of 16 Mahajanapadas and 10 republics mentioned in Buddhist texts, 3 were in Bihar. These are- ANGA, MAGADH AND LICCHHAVI REPUBLIC. These have been  elaborately mentioned in ANGUTAR NIKAYA.

       The 16 Mahajanapads mentioned in the book named, “BUDDHIST INDIA”  written by PROF. R.DAVIS are-

       Kashi, Kosala, Anga, Vajji, Malla, Chedi, Vatsa, Kuru, Panchal, Matasya, Sursen, Ashmak, Avani and Kamboja

       The republic of licchhavi was present in the north of Ganga river which was federation of different republics. It  spreaded  till Vaishali and Muzaffarpur .Its capital was VAISHALI.

       Anga spreaded  till Munger and Bhagalpur. Its capital was CHAMPA.

       Magadh reached out till patna,Nalanda and Gaya.Its capital was RAJGRIHA(RAJGIR)

              Bidesia     

  1. Bidesia is one of the most popular folk dance of Bihar.
  2. The dance  was originated in the 20th century.
  3.  This dance or folk theatre is performed by the Bhojpuri-speaking regions of Bihar.
  4. Bhikhari  Thakur is supposed to be the father of BIDESIA dance style.With this form Bhikhari Thakur brought awareness in society.
  5. In this dance males play the roles of female in Bidesiya dance and  they wear artificial long hair and dhoti.
  6. It is still an alluring form of theatre and dance amongst Biharis.
