  NEW VARIETIES OF PADDY TO BEAT CHANGES IN WEATHER.

  Because of changing weather, in Bihar new varieties of paddy will be selected. These variety will require less water and less time to grow.
  State government has asked scientists and researchers of state to find solution and develop new varieties. Also farmers odf state will be educated about new advancements and trained for the same.
  Earlier rain was 1200-1500 mm. now it has reduced to mere 1047mm.
  RAJENDRA CENTRAL AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY has developed PUSA SARASWATI AND PUSA SAKET, which needs 115-120 days to grow fully.

  300 CRORES FOR MAINTAINENCE OF ROADS IN THREE DISTRICT.

  The roads of AURANGABAD, KHAGARIA AND KATIHAR has to repaired and maintained soon.
  This will cost around Rs. 300 crores.
  The amount has been approved under OPRMC- LONG TERM OUTPUT AND PERFORMANCE BASED ROAD ASSETS MAINTAINENCE CONTRACT.
  The company contracted will look after repair and maintenance of the roads of these three districts.
  Also any harm caused by flood or any natural disasters will be covered.

  DURGAWATI AND PUNPUN YOJANA TO BE CONSIDERED FOR IRRIGATION

  To enhance the irrigation capacity of state, government has decided to add some schemes.
  In the same regard durgawati and punpun rivers will be considered.

  MEETING BETWEEN NEPAL AND INDIA WILL BE HELD SOON TO DISCUSS THE KOSI HIGH DAM PROJECT.

  ORGANIC PRODUCTS TO BE EXAMINED FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE

  Agriculture Minister Dr. Prem Kumar recently told that quality assurance test of organic seeds, fertilizers, insecticides will be facilitated by government.
  Along with this 100 insecticides and 150 organic products will be examined.
  Analysis of Organic insecticide will be done by CENTRAL INSECTICIDE BOARD REGISTRATION COMMITTEE and organic products samples will be analyzed by NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FLAT HEALTH MANAGEMENT.
  Insecticide analysis test will cost Rs.5000 per sample and organic product analysis test will cost Rs.11, 800 per sample.
