During Chalcolithic Age, Bihar started developing culturally.

       People started moving out of the cave. Farming was developing and animal  keeping(animal husbandry)was seen. 
         
        People were using clay pots and utensils for cooking food and storing grains.

       According to RIGVEDA, before the advent of Aryans civilization, was already developed in Bihar. The two words used for Bihar in RigVeda is KIKAT AND VRATYA.

       VALMIKI in his RAMAYAN used MALAD AND KARUNA for the regions of present-day Buxar. Here Lord Rama had killed the demon, Tarka.

                   
            VAYUPURAN mentions about GAYA evidence of early men have been found from      Southern part of Bihar.

      According to some historian, Aryans in Bihar came from Iran and during Rig-Vedic period they settled in PUNJAB HARYANA region.

                      Mostly Aryans moved to Bihar during Atharva-Veda’s creation.
 
       Cultural development of Aryans was observed during Brahaman’s creation.

             KIKAT in VARAHPURANA has been categorized as UNHOLY PLACE.

      Sathpatha Brahmana as written after Aryans settled in Videh. Because firstly Satpath Brahmana mentions the place Videh.

          Sathpatha Brahmana mentions the fact that king of Videh while performing the cultural ceremony of priest Gautam Rahugan reached to Sadinara river.
