—  BIHAR BECOMES FIRST STATE TO LAUNCH UNIVERSAL OLD AGE PENSION SCHEME

—  Bihar becomes first state to launch UNIVERSAL OLD- AGE PENSION SCHEME.
—  In this scheme each person either of 60 years age and above will be given sum of Rs.400 person per month directly in his/her bank account.
—  Irrespective of their financial, family or caste status they will be given this amount.
—  It will cover around 35 to 36 lakh persons of 60years

—  BIHAR TO BE ODF BY OCTOBER 2

—  In wake of making Bihar open defecation free by October 2, Bihar government has decided to construct many community toilets for landless families on government land.
—  These community toilets will be constructed around 20 families clusters in each and every panchayat.

—  APPEAL OF DONATING BLOOD ON WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY 2019

— Many blood banks and government hospitals conduted several blood donation camps on 14 June.
—  For combating inadequacy of blood supply and meeting daily demand of blood across state, 10 government blood bank have been proposed in GAYA, DARBHANGA, BHAGALPUR, ARARIA AND PATNA.
—  Presently there are 80 blood banks and 56 blood storage centres in Bihar.
—  The theme of BLOOD DONOR DAY 2019 was blood donation and universal access to safe blood transfusion.
